This is the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. The food, service, atmosphere and attention to detail are exceptional. We were a large demanding group and the manager and staff there went above and beyond to look after us.

A very good Chinese restaurant. The scallops tastes good, the omelette tastes good, as well as being soft and fluffy. The mussels were a bit strange, but it was alright. The price is also not too expensive. Design is outstanding, overall very good and you definitely should try this restaurant.

Recently dined at bamboo house and it was one of the best Chinese meals I’ve had in a long time. The food was full of authentic flavor — every dish tasted freshly made and perfectly balanced. The portions were generous, the ingredients were fresh, and everything came out hot and quickly. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without hovering. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, great for both casual dinners and special occasions. You can tell the chefs take real pride in their cooking.

Great Chinese restaurant. I had the braised sea cucumber for my main, gotta say I wasn't a fan of that dish, but had to try. That being said, all the other food was excellent, especially the beef pot sticker dumplings, which were quite possibly the greatest thing I've ever eaten at any Chinese restaurant....ever. All in all it was a great meal with nice friendly service. 5 stars

It's another long-standing Melbourne institution. Foodwise and service, consistent, somewhat value for money, classic dishes, done well ... good extensive wine list, bigger than the food menu, moderately priced. Interior hasn't changed much ... new refurbished toilet is a joy

Absolutely outstanding food! A party of five, we opted for the special banquet and what a good choice. From beautiful scallops, delicious peking duck, yummy dumplings, succulent lamb chops and fat, juicy prawns, there was more than enough food. I will definitely return.
